Science is awesome. And we want to share it.

Our mission is to excite kids about the magic of science of engineering and instill a lifelong love of learning.

We strongly feel that project-based learning is the best way to build passion, along with making math and science considerably less scary. Early exposure to these fields breaks down the barriers to entry for those that might otherwise be deterred from pursuing a degree or career in math, science, or engineering.

Kids growing up in a mountain town should have just as many high-quality, hands-on STEM options available to them as those in more metropolitan areas.

Tahoe STEM Academy was founded to help fix that.

We create and teach the kind of classes that we would have wanted to take as kids, ranging from introductory offerings for total beginners to get a taste of what these fields can offer to advanced classes to challenge gifted and talented children. We hope to inspire the next generation of scientists, makers, and engineers and show them just how engaging and exciting STEM can be.
